Greetings to all, whether you are already familiar with us or new to our community. Let me take this opportunity to introduce ourselves. We are Reed and Cayla Pearson, with Reed serving as the owner, operator, and head grower of our business.

At Pearson’s Greenhouses, we specialize in offering a wide array of spring gardening plants such as annuals, perennials, herbs, veggies, hanging baskets, as well as jade plants and bonsai projects. In addition to our retail location in Farmington, NH, we are excited to announce that we will be introducing a range of new products this year, including pots, soil, fertilizer, tools, and other essentials for your gardening projects.

For businesses looking to carry our products, we provide wholesale accounts at our farm in Alton. We also invite everyone to visit us during our two open houses each season.

Pearson’s Greenhouses has a rich history, established in 1967 by Reed’s father, Mark, who was a skilled horticulturist from a long line of greenhouse and dairy farmers. Reed grew up on the farm, working alongside his father until Mark’s passing in February 23. Reed has continued his father’s legacy with dedication and skill, ensuring that the business thrives.

FARMHOUSE IS BUILT

The farmhouse, dating back to the 1770s, exudes a sense of history and charm with its classic architecture and rustic appeal.
Surrounded by vast stretches of land, the property holds enormous potential to be transformed into something truly remarkable.

PEARSON FAMILY PURCHASE THE LAND

The Pearsons are multigenerational farmers. Welton Pearson came from a family of dairy farmers while Ann Meader’s family grew flowers. Together, they moved to Alton in the early 40’s to raise their own family and cattle.

DREAMS TURNED TO REALITY

Mark Pearson inherited his mother’s love for flowers and started Pearson’s Greenhouses on the family farm in 1967, while attending the Horticulture program at UNH. His love and talent for growing beautiful flowers was unmeasurable and it showed in the quality of his work.

PEARSON’S GREENHOUSE

Reed Pearson is the third generation to raise his family on the farm and the second generation to own and operate Pearson’s Greenhouses. Reed started working for his father as a teenager. As he grew and became more experienced, he was able to work alongside his father and learned to grow from one of the very best,  meanwhile developing his own passion for it. Reed took over operations upon Mark’s passing in 2023 and is continuing to provide beautiful flowers for our community.

We are grateful for our customers who have supported us throughout the years. We have exciting plans for the future and are thrilled to have you join us on this journey. Thank you for your continued support!
